Ursidae's New World

Polar Bear

Polar bears are native to the arctic circle and the North Pole. They are the largest and strongest bear. They are actually black and their fur is just transparent and under that they have a 4 inch layer of blubber. They eat mostly fatty animals like seals but if needed they will eat anything possible.

If you want a cool bear, Polar bears are that bear. They are stalkers and will wait at a breathing hole for a seal or stalk it. They've been heavily affected by the ice melting because of this which has destroyed their hunting grounds.

Polar Bears have cultural significance with the Inuit people. I don't know enough to talk about it but its intresting to learn about.

I would put them at 6th place. They're not my favorite but they're a very intresting bear especially with how short of a time they've been around.
